WHoC Party: People and Entertainment.

So far, it looks like our farthest flung guests will be coming in from Pittsburgh. (: Good head count, looks like somewhere between 20 and 25, possibly spiking as high as 30. House is quite big, so this no worries - this should be enough people to keep things energetic, without feeling crowded.

I'm thinking of setting things out so there are a couple of lounging and chatting spaces, an area set up for board or card gaming, and a video area. What do people think about my showing the extended verison of all the LoTR movies? My thought was, that way people can wander in and out as their mood and their favorite bits of film dictate. What do you folks think? Is that likely to bog down the party, or no? If you're likely to feel most comfortable doing the social viewing thing, would you enjoy watching LoTR?

Come, join us for what bits of time you can. Enjoy good food, and good company, and most importantly, have fun. (:

No, No, please a thousand times no! Don't create the video isolation chamber. If you feel the need for media, then put on some unusual and interesting (but fairly quiet!) music mix in one area, but nothing that consumes the entire attention. Please!!

Of course, that's just my opinion....
