Surgery, tomorrow, 1 p.m.

I need to be at the hospital at 11:00 a.m. Assuming it takes the time they thought, I should be done around 3 p.m. Figure they'll put me in postop observation for at least an hour or two. Won't be in a hospital room until around 5 p.m. at the earliest. Don't know how my body is going to react to general anesthesia at all, can't predict when I'm likely to be conscious.

Oh, if someone thinks of it, could you bring one of the Bolthouse Farms soy chai latte things to the hospital in the evening? There will likely be a fridge somewhere on my floor that you can wheedle a nurse into letting you use, if I don't wake up for a while. I may not actually want anything but cold liquids when I surface. The soy chai should fit the bill nicely - a good mix of protein, sugar, and flavor. Get me the big one, I won't have eaten all day, calories are not going to be an issue.

Summary:

11:00 Arrive at hospital
13:00 Surgery
15:00 Recovery room
17:00ish Hospital room
Evening Consciousness

Parking at the hospital - update, and good news

Per my friend who works at the hospital:

"Actually the outdoor flat lots are free from 6p-6a and the structure parking is free if you leave after midnight. You also can get your parking validated by the floor of the person you are visiting and then the visit cost $2 as opposed to whatever hienous charge it would actually cost.
